Accessibility statement

Our approach

This site should work for people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, speech input or reduced motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of building a page, not a pass at the end.

The standard we work to

We build against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA. We have not commissioned a third party audit, so this page states what we have done rather than claiming conformance.

What is in place

• Semantic headings and landmarks, so a screen reader can move through a page by structure
• A visible focus ring on every interactive element, and a logical tab order
• The hero slide controls operate with the arrow keys, and pause when focused or hovered
• Body and interface text meets AA contrast against its background
• Text alternatives on photographs, and decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
• Every animation stops when the operating system reports a reduced motion preference
• Layout reflows to 320px without horizontal scrolling, and tolerates 200% zoom
• Forms and controls carry accessible names

Known limitations

• The rotating particle graphic in the hero is decorative and carries no text alternative by design. It is hidden from assistive technology and stops under reduced motion
• Some link text in the footer repeats section names used elsewhere on the page
• Third party embeds, when added, may not meet the same standard. We will note them here

How we test

Keyboard only navigation, browser zoom to 200%, reduced motion enabled, automated contrast and structure checks, and screen reader spot checks. Testing is done during the build and repeated when a page changes.
